My lips are always so dry. I just can’t seem to escape it, I’m always finding ways on how to can get soft baby lips. Since I’ve taken skin care more seriously now that I’m in my mid-twenties, caring for my lips has made its way into the routine as well.
There’s nothing more unattractive like applying lipstick over chapped lips. I’ve been guilty and the thought makes me cringe. Maybe your lipstick hasn’t been applying very smoothly or you have a date and want to make sure those lips are kissable? Whatever it may be, with just a few steps you’ll have soft baby lips in no time.
How To Get Soft Baby Lips
The best way to get soft baby lips is to exfoliate any dead skin off so that you can be left with a smooth surface to moisturize. You can use a clean soft bristle tooth brush to gently scrub off the dead skin. You want to make sure this is a toothbrush that’s not being used for your teeth, after all, you want to remain hygienic.
Or if you have a few bucks to spare you can buy a lip exfoliant. Here I’m using Fresh Sugar Lip Polish. Apply a small amount to the lips and gently massage away at the dull skin. This lip scrub soothes and conditions the lips with shea butter and jojoba oil leaving them soft and smooth. You can apply a lip mask right after for extra moisture and soothing for the lips from the exfoliation.
Next, apply Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm to moisture and protect the skin or use your favorite lip balm. Make sure to apply something to soothe the lips afterwards, especially with the harsh exfoliation. You’ll be surprise at how smooth and soft your lips are and not to mention how smooth any lipstick will go on! This lip balm has an SPF 25, so you’ll get some protection on your stroll out the door as well.
